Wednesday 1st June saw myself and some others from the Social Media Advice scene head down to Number 5 in Blackpool’s Cedar Square to take part in Aunty Social Connected for an Introduction to Social Media, lending a hand to representatives of Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector (VCFS) organisations in Blackpool.
YouTube has performed a miracle for a man named Ted Williams, who until the posting of a video on YouTube was homeless and using his “Golden Voice” to earn a few dollars on the side of the road in America.
The Columbus Dispatch Videographer, Doral Chenoweth III, filmed a quick interview with Ted after coming across him at the side of the road and uploaded it to the video sharing website YouTube, where the video went Viral, with one copy, uploaded on the 6th January 2011 by RussiaToday boasting 6,374,157 views at the time of writing.
Last night I attended the Annual Central Lancashire Business Event in the Pines Hotel in Chorley. Seeing none of the other usual Social Media people I know I thought to myself that this would be a prime networking opportunity. First though we had to sit through a few guest speakers.

That would be because Walker Studios is no longer a student portfolio of work, but is now fully operating as “Walker Studios – Multimedia Design & Social Media Solutions” (holds for applause).
So the virus that is causing havoc on Twitter posts a tweet to your page that automatically throws up this roll over and causes mass chaos by Retweeting itself to all your followers and then ties up your web based Twitter.

This Tutorial suites two purposes, Skype is a very useful business tool, allowing users to call and video call each other for free. This allows users to have face to face, or voice contact with a company for no cost to either party, it’s a win/win situation! Secondly I need to tell my mother how to use Skype since we live in different companies, believe me, if she understands it, you will too (sorry mum)!
If the steps are confusing or if you get lost, I’ve posted a gallery at the bottom to help you along.
